Dr. Thomas Forrest, DMD, is dedicated to continuing a legacy of outstanding orthodontic care in McCandless and Sewickley. This tradition was established by his esteemed mentors, his father, Dr. Edward Forrest, and Dr. James Tinnemeyer. Dentistry runs in Dr. Forrest’s family, with several relatives, including an aunt, uncle, and cousin, who also share this passion.

Background, Education, and Training

Dr. Forrest proudly builds on the solid foundation laid by his father, Dr. Edward Forrest, who opened one of the first orthodontic practices in Sewickley nearly sixty years ago on Centennial Avenue. His father also served as the Dean of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Medicine. Under his father’s mentorship, Dr. Forrest began his orthodontic career, working closely with him and continuing to provide top-tier orthodontic care in the same location.

Living in Ben Avon, Dr. Forrest is an avid jogger who participates in numerous local running events, including the Pittsburgh Half-Marathon. However, his greatest joy is spending time with his family. He cherishes moments with his wife, Diane, and their sons, Tom and John. Tom Jr. and his wife, Christine, are both educators and have a daughter, Juliet. John works locally with the Westinghouse Corporation.
